Who is The eLFonian?
The eLFonian was created by me, eLFyster (eLFy for short). As a citizen of eLFonia, I observe Cyberian culture – that’s what we do. I am also an avid student of life (its mysteries, its intricacies, its wonders, its creation and, its future).
I created this site as the official presence of eLFonia in Cyberspace after hearing the call of the digital native and to advance the eLFonian cause. And so, The eLFonian was born on 30 October 2014 in response to this call for help.
However, after reaching out to this citizen of the binary age, and completing the quasi-psuedo, semi-top secret eLF mission from very deep in Cyberspace designed to address its needs, I realised that Cyberspace can indeed be a dark place. Rather than leave The eLFonian behind after completing the rescue mission, and after much pensive consideration and consternation, The eLFonian was reborn on 13 December 2014, tweaked for the much broader purpose of stimulating Cyberspace, and perhaps even tickling its borders a little, with some eLFonian perspectives.
This is the result. A site dedicated to propagating the eLFonian viewpoint. A site committed to advancing the eLFonian cause. A sight devoted to showcasing eLFonian talent (hmmm). A site resolute in its purpose to provide refined eLFonian insights. A site with stuff! Stuff like …
eLFonian art to intrigue, bemuse and amuse. At the very least, it makes for a good drink coaster.
A collection of quotes gathered during eLFonian travels. Be careful what you say, you could end up being quoted here.
eLFonian poetry from The Corner. Such poetry is normally inspired after eating certain types of food.
Dear Reader, may you take the time to explore and investigate every little nook and cranny of The eLFonian. Only, please be gentle when you do so as the bandages are in need of replacing.
It is the duty of eLFonians everywhere to be positive examples of a light shining in the darkness of Cyberspace. Such is our hope, and hope is only present while we are alive. As they say in Latin, dum spiro spero.
May your journey in life be fruitful. May your gatherings be bountiful. May your thoughts be positive. May your actions be filled with purpose and resolve. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “We become what we think about all day long.” So think good thoughts.
Onward and forward eLFonia!
