World gone mad

world gone madSomething is very wrong with the world. That we already know. When events like those in Syria continue to unfold before our very eyes, we must ask, “why?”

Why is the world going so mad?

“In a mad world, only the mad are sane.” – Akira Kurosawa

The recent conflict in Syria has continued for over four years and has seen at least 250,000 people killed and 12 million people displaced. It started as a civil war that has now divided much of the Middle East with Russia and the United States being drawn into the conflict. This short video helps to understand how Syria got to this point.

The burden against Damascus is indeed great. As these events continue to unfold in Syria, it is worth considering the words of Isaiah, “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap. (Isa 17:1)

When this happens, “what will you do?”
