The Corner – Happily Haiku

The CornerContinuing with the exploration of Haiku structure, The Corner provided the ideal place to develop several short, theme-related stanzas. These are combined forming a single thought on the topic of love. A challenging aspect of poetic construction reflecting perhaps the challenge of life itself.

Happily Haiku

Will you take me there
On a journey of love true?
Will you be my soul?

Doth moonlight maketh
Your eyes to glow tenderly
And reveal your heart

The moonlight’s rays make
Your face to shine on water
Always in my heart

Love lost, heart broken
From jagged mountain I fall
Though I rise once more

  1. You’ve gone public with these! A good decision. They are all worth sharing as they are quite moving.
