Thursday Thought – on Wisdom

puzzled lookWisdom is sometimes found in the strangest of places or when least expected. Recently, while walking down the corridors of the eLFonian Artwork Centre (eAC), a venerable visitor was overheard responding to their companion as they were admiring one of the latest works,

I know more today than I did yesterday and less than I will tomorrow.

The work being considered by this elderly and erudite eLFonian and his companion appeared to be the catalyst for his comment. The work itself was inspired by a strange mathematical relationship associated with eLFonian history. The details of this piece can be read about in “Using Math for Good” and can be viewed in the Mystical Math section of the eAC.
